Having sold hundreds of blobs, I can attest they are pretty tough. But there are some downsides to them. They are very heavy, They break down over time, when exposed to UV light.
The Blob is a mass of waste elastomer, from the production of commercial carpeting, The main problem, is there is no quality control, as the factory is just "shooting" their left over material into a box at the end of the day. The result is, sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you get one that is half cured, and on the verge of failing before you ever shoot it.
